Olev Muska (AU/EE) concert "Ride to the North"

The event is free.

Olev Muska is back with a new album "New Estonian Waltzes"!
Muska is performing in Estonia for the first time in a long time with a new audiovisual program, bringing a mix of folklore, glitch, visual samples and digital ghosts to the stage. This is folk music like you've never heard or seen it before.

Olev Muska (71) is an Australian-born and active Estonian composer and multimedia artist, whose name belongs to a completely separate chapter in Estonian music history. Already in 1980, he released Estonia's first fully electronic single "Tuljak!" and his 1985 vinyl "Old Estonian Waltzes" is both the first fully electronic folk music album and electronic dance music record in Estonian history.

Muska's new album "New Estonian Waltzes" was released on vinyl on July 9, 2025. 40 years later, it is a playful tribute to his 1985 debut album "Old Estonian Waltzes", which coincides with his summer Estonian tour "Ride to the North". The new album will be released by the Estonian label Glitch Please. The album consists of 16 songs from the period 1980–2025, including both Olev Muska's original compositions and arrangements of Estonian folk songs as well as the work of Veljo Tormis. The songs on "New Estonian Waltzes" were recorded using a variety of analog and digital music technology.

On sale at the venue will be Olev Muska's new album "New Estonian Waltzes", fresh T-shirts and Glitch Please merch.
