Two shops are open on Kihnu all-year-round.

• Kihnu Pood at Sääre village
  This village shop a couple of kilometres from the harbour has all the goods a household might need, but mostly offers food and drinks. New goods arrive twice a week—every Monday and Thursday fresh foodstuffs are transported to the island from Pärnu. The special feature of the shop is that is offers a selection of Kihnu handicraft, souvenirs and print publications.

• Kurase kauplus at Sääre village
  Kurase kauplus, which is 1.5 km away from the harbour, offers groceries and convenience goods. New goods arrive twice a week—every Monday and Thursday fresh foodstuffs are transported to the island from Pärnu. There are pretty thatched-roof seating areas on Kurase’s yard.
